A souvenir is an object with a powerful and symbolic undertone, whose materiality is important to define and pinpoint in time and space a unique lived experience. It is filled with tangible and intangible meanings.



When returning from a trip, related to business purposes or a vacation break, the purchased souvenir always retrieves cherished moments and is one of the most widespread forms of cultural exchange and convergence with an unknown culture.



Taking advantage of these concepts, Totens decided to conceive an automatic vending machine which sells a souvenir – coin-shaped. These machines can be installed in tourist points, monuments, historical landmarks, parks, museums, zoos, bars and theme restaurants, airports, or where there is an opportunity to convey or materialize the experience lived in the souvenir.
